<reviewbody>Phillip Wilkerson is not held back by genres or typical constraints by tradition music. Rather than being just another DSP, Ambient, Noise, aesthetic musician, he delved into minimal techno and created dance music for the chin scratcher in all of us. Highlights include the title track "Microlinear", with drones driving the song more than the percussion. "145 W Broadway" synth swells match well with the clicks and pulsing lead saw waves, I hark back to some of Carpark's early techno adventures. There are no let down tracks on this album and everything flows unnoticed into each other. That might be the only weakness on this album, you might think its one long mix. But in Minimal, thats kind of the idea. Take a lesson from this veteran and chill out.</reviewbody>
